Zud Multi-Purpose Cream Cleanser: 19 OZ Review

Zud liquid is excellent for cleaning copper bottom pot/pans & stainless steel sinks. Also very good for old chrome bumpers/mirrors on cars. And it will remove rust from older porcelain sinks, tubs & toilets. It comes in a powder too but I prefer the liquid. It stays on the scrubber better.

Dreft Liquid Detergent, 64 Load Bottle (Pack of 2) Review

I had to discontinue using this detergent! It is mild, but it's cleaning effectiveness is FAR less than "regular" detergent. After washing, the clothing still felt as if it needed washing.I ended up buying another name brand detergent that was free of dyes or perfumes which cleaned a lot better. This product may be adequate for everyday washing of sheets, towels, etc, but I would use a stronger detergent for the baby food stains and soils.

OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover LARGER SIZE Now 15 Lbs. By Church & Dwight Co. Review

Remember the old OxiClean TV commercials? You know, the ones where Billy May claimed OxiClean was the miracle worker that was the answer to all your wash-day problems. Then my wife introduced OxiClean into our house. We now add OxiClean to our wash loads, especially the white things. I'm still not totally convinced that it works as well as the old commercials suggest, but she insists on it's use and I follow along.

One thing is certain. I've seen her work miracles with this stuff! She deals with antique dolls and their restoration. I've seen her have doll clothes that I would just have thrown away as worthless trash. Some of them even smelled bad (read reeked) from years of exposure to smoking. Well, she boils them in an OxiClean solution and the end results are, indeed, a miracle. Something I would just have thrown away comes out nice and bright and fresh and, with ironing, looks like new. It's amazing, I must say! OK, I'm convinced. I can't see much of a change in an individual washer load of weekly laundry, but her special care with antique doll clothes would convince anyone that this stuff is truly outstanding. We buy it in these very large 15-pound boxes.

Planet Delicate Laundry Wash, Case Pack, Eight 32 Fluid-Ounce Bottles (256 Fluid-Ounces) Review

This product is excellent for washing delicates and other things for which you would use a woolite type laundry product. Another review trashes it because it did not fully clean sweaty dirty work clothes worn by a man. Excuse me, it is _not_ intended as a heavy duty cleaner and I think it is unfair to give it a poor score on those grounds. I use it on lightly soiled loads and for handwashing delicates and woolens. It does those jobs excellently and without irritating my skin or my nose. I'll continue to buy it. For heavier dirt I use Planet's regular liquid laundry detergent, which I highly recommend also.

Seventh Generation Natural Laundry Detergent, Free & Clear, Ultra-Concentrated Liquid, 150-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3) Review

I have extremely sensitive skin, and I'm allergic to most laundry detergents. The trouble with free & clear detergents is that most of the time, they don't actually work.I went through several brands that left my clothes grimy before I found this stuff.I've been using it for about a year now, and I'm very happy with how clean it gets my clothes.Ordering it online is a lot cheaper than buying it in the store, too.

laundry dropps, Dissolving Liquid Pacs, Scent + Dye Free, 20-Load Pouch (Pack of 3) Review

I recently had the chance to try Dropps via the word of mouth marketing site BzzAgent. This product interested me because of its claims to be space saving, enzyme free, safe for all clothing types, and it educated me on the disadvantages to dryer sheets. It's a great product in concept, as I was waiting for an introduction of laundry "packets" like there are for dishwashers now.The problem came during my actual trial of the product in my laundry.I noticed that some clothes just did not come out completely clean or clean-smelling.I never had anything truly stained so I cannot vouch for its power with that, but sweaty clothes still smelled sweaty and needed a second washing--which just defeats the purpose of the product.
I got the most use out of the product on towels and laundry items that weren't dirty but just needed a light washing.
Again, this is a terrific concept and I love how convenient the packaging is and that it takes up virtually no space in my already packed laundry room.Perhaps though a little more attention needs to be paid to the power of the liquid inside the packet.I'm excited to see this innovation continue to develop, but for right now I can't say I'd buy dropps again.

I'm always trying to give environmentally-safe products a chance and sometimes they disappoint me.Not this time - I love this product! It smells wonderful - like true lavender essential oil and not the overpowering, chemically-based lavender scent of some of the newer, more mainstream products. The detergent is environmentally friendly, and it's safe for my septic system.I especially love using this detergent on my sheets so that I have a nice lavender haven to lull me to sleep each night. What more could I ask for?I'm sold on this product.

Purex® Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Refill, Big Value 38 Sheets, Pure & Clean Scent Review

We were in Europe for 3 weeks recently. I always wash a bit of laundry in the evening and hang it up in the shower; this way we can travel light. I had read about these sheets on Rick Steves' travel site, so purchased a bag, cut them in quarters, and stuck them in a ziplock. They were terrific! I didn't have to worry about spilled soap in my suitcase, they are very light, I never ran out. The scent is pleasant and not strong. My skin is very sensitive to things, and I had no trouble with this product. I am using the remainder of the sheets at home, and they are doing a very good job. I thought they were so terrific, I dropped a note to Purex.

Tide Powder Detergent, Mountain Spring Scent, Case Pack, Two 120-Load Boxes (240-Loads) Review

I sometimes use Tide powder detergent with a mountain spring scent when I can't get my hands on the liquid form of this laundry soap--Tide is far and away superior to the other powder laundry detergents out there. It makes the most soap suds with the least amount of powder added to your wash.

I recommend buying Tide in this size because it is noticeably cheaper by the ounce. It does a great job with anything that can be washed in your clothes washing machine! The "mountain spring" scent is pleasant and it will not overpower you. It also dissolves rather quickly, just as Amazon notes, so that your clothing is truly residue-free after the wash cycle ends.

A few notes: A full container could be rather heavy so you may not be able to carry a full container too far. Consider this if you have to travel with this heavy box and your dirty laundry to a laundromat. If the full box is too heavy put some of the powder in a plastic bag and carry your powder laundry detergent to the laundromat that way. In addition, this form of Tide does have a scent. If you are allergic to any scents or perfumes try an unscented version of Tide instead.

If you have a clothes washer and dryer machine at home stock up when you get a good value on this!

Overall, Tide is by far the best powdered laundry detergent; and if you can carry this heavy full container or some powder in a bag to the laundromat it is also the best value for your money. This is really important as laundromats and water bills seem to going UP these days! Tide makes a great laundry detergent. Don't waste your money on other detergents that just don't work as effectively.

Use it in good health!

Purex® Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Dispenser with 20 Sheets, Tropical Escape Scent, All in One Detergent and Softener and Anti-static Sheet Review

I bought these thinking they would be the best thing since sliced bread.
They are.......kind of.....

Here's the pro's.
The box is relatively inexpensive, good bang for the buck.
One little sheet produces quite a bit of suds so I know the clothes are getting clean.
The box is small and light and are a million times better than dragging home the big heavy liquid variety.

The cons?
Only one I can think of so far, I have a light blue, wrinkle free dress shirt that is poly/rayon and after washing three times there were multiple dark stains on the shirt.
I have no idea what is causing this as it isn't happening to any of my other dress shirts that are the same blend.
Then again, those shirts are a lot darker in color and I may not be seeing the stains.
I ended up throwing the shirt away, it was old and not in the best shape anyway.
That's the only reason I didn't give this five stars.
REVIEW UPDATE...............
I knocked this review down to one star.
All five of my dress shirts have been stained by this product.
I will NOT be buying this again,
In short,
AAAAAAAAAVOID!!!

Another review update.
All the shirts that were stained, the stains came out when I rewashed them using another detergent.
What a pain.
I still say to avoid this product.

Purex® Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Refill, Big Value 38 Sheets, Spring Oasis Scent Review

After using this product for several months, everyone in our household is sold on the Purex laundry sheets. We were skeptical, but not to the point where we wouldn't give them a try. So after many loads of all types of laundry this product gets our thumbs up! Getting rid of the heavy plastic jugs of detergent in our shopping cart is terrific, not to mention how convenient it is touse just one sheet for washing AND drying! No more spilling, dripping, and HEAVY lifting of thoseawful, polluting, plastic jugs. After using the sheets for the laundry and dryer, we found they make great, anti-static dusting cloths; this is just an extra plus for us! Some people have given reviews about having to add extra liquid detergent to get clothes clean. Purex says right on the box that if you have extra soiled clothes, just add another sheet. We always have great results with just one laundry sheet, and the clothes have no static and feel great after using the laundry sheet in the dryer. Never anyspots on our laundry, always good results, no complaints. Thinking back to my dorm days in college, or the times where we had to go to laundromats, what I would've given for a lightweight laundry sheet instead of messy powders and liquids. An extra bonus; more space on our laundry room shelves! Glad we gave this product a try!

Tide Powder Detergent, Original Scent, Case Pack, Two 120-Load Boxes (240-Loads) Review

Ever since a severe rash sent me to a dermatologist decades ago, I've been using Tide detergent. Liquid detergents, he said, are dangerous to your skin. They contain all kinds of irritants not included in an old-fashioned box of Tide.

Based on that advice, for upwards of 20 years I've avoided skin rashes from the nasty chemicals in liquid soap detergents.

I'm especially pleased with Amazon's subscription offering for Tide, too. Buying this way is so much less expensive than buying in a store, not to mention avoiding the schlepping (carrying heavy loads).

Tide is an economical, safe clothes detergent, which I recommend highly.

Dropps Laundry Pacs, Scent + Dye Free, load pouch Review

For context: I have a HE front-loader.

There's a couple of obvious groups where this is a no-brainer.People who live in apartments or otherwise have to carry detergent.People who like to have some when they travel.People who are disabled or otherwise have trouble manipulating a big heavy container or measuring.

For me, for daily use, most of that doesn't apply. But it's still nice when you're in a rush just to chuck in one of these and throw in the clothes and hit start and run back to the baby before she explodes. And it does work really well - one pouch always does the job, even though the package recommends two for larger loads.Maybe that's a HE thing, maybe that's because I pre-treat anything really nasty (i.e. dump on some conventional cleaner and vaugely rub it and chuck it in.I suspect I should be doing a better job of that but it works OK).

I've used both the scented and unscented. My preference is for the scent/dye free versions but they both clean the same.

Dropps Laundry Pacs, Fresh Scent, 20-load pouch (pack of 3) Review

I live in a tiny studio apartment on the top floor of my building, so I was really excited when I got a sample of dropps in the mail from Bzz Agent to try. They're wonderful!I can fit detergent for as many loads as the regular stuff in a box about 1/4 of the size (and less than a pound!)No lugging big jugs up to my apartment and then trying to hide them under the bed- the dropps can fit right in my laundry basket!

I love that they are better for the environment, while at the same time being super handy and no mess!

The only thing I was a bit dissappointed about was the smell- I couldn't smell the fresh scent at all- so I've decided to buy the un-scented from now on and use fabric sheets to get my "fresh Scent."

Overall- I highly reccomend dropps.Great invention!
