I have used Citra Suds for about 5 months now, and it does a great job on our clothes. They come out clean and fresh, and the box goes a long way especially in the new HE washers.
For the review that complained that she did a load a few days later w/ the same nuts there is a reason they smelled. You are suppose to do the loads all in one day and then compost the soapnuts.
I sometimes use Tide powder detergent with a mountain spring scent when I can't get my hands on the liquid form of this laundry soap--Tide is far and away superior to the other powder laundry detergents out there. It makes the most soap suds with the least amount of powder added to your wash.

It gets the stink out on running/cycling clothes.It seems in muggy San Antonio you just can't get the mildew/skank out of clothes with regular detergent.
I have been using this detergent for my GroVia, Fuzzibunz and Bum Genius cloth diapers and the diapers/inserts look very clean when I remove them from the dryer and poop stains are virtually gone when I dry them in the sun BUT they still smell faintly of urine so I don't feel like they are really clean.I suppose I can mix Tiny Bubbles with another detergent to reap the benefits of both but really just wish Tiny Bubbles did the job.
I like this laundry detergent, use it most of the time but the price for this 4-pack is wayyy too much. Buying by the case should offer an advantage but I can buy Tide Free 100.0-Ounce at the local Wal-Mart for $14 and local Albertsons for $16... So paying over $22 makes no sense. This 4-pack price needs to come down to $56 or close before I will buy.
I received what looked like spam saying I was being issued a credit for this purchase and asking me to click on a link. Cautiously, I didn't. Then I received an e-mail telling me the items had been damaged in shipment, were returned to Amazon and my order had been cancelled. I'm not sure if these were one-of-a-kind items ;)and so my order couldn't be re-fulfilled, but I just went to the supermarket and bought a similar product. I'm not sure why there isn't a mechanism in place to simply replace a damaged shipment of a commodity product.
I bought the 64 oz bottle of Lavender Mrs. Meyers on a whim.I thought it was expensive, but liked that it was easy on the environment. Little did I know that it would clean VERY well and leave my clothes smelling wonderful - not flowery just fresh and clean. I now think its worth every penny and rarely have to use fabric softener. I've seen the price as low at $9.99 but normally its around $15.I highly recommend it.
I bought these thinking they would be the best thing since sliced bread.

Since Persil has been the laundry detergent that my family and most other families in Central Europe have been using for generations, there is not really that much need for reviewing the product. It is a good product, and if you own a decent European washing machine and care about your clothes, you need it.
This is some great product, wife bought it because it seems there are dust mites on our bedding, sheets and covers, that I and my daughter are allergic to. Well, she asked me to give the bottle the odor test. The detergent smells pretty strong, but not totally awful. The bedding etc. had no fragrance at all once the laudering was finished. Product is concentrated so the small bottle yielded 30 loads in our washer.
I really really really like the smell of Cheer. It's kind of a problem for me.
After using this product for several months, everyone in our household is sold on the Purex laundry sheets. We were skeptical, but not to the point where we wouldn't give them a try. So after many loads of all types of laundry this product gets our thumbs up! Getting rid of the heavy plastic jugs of detergent in our shopping cart is terrific, not to mention how convenient it is touse just one sheet for washing AND drying! No more spilling, dripping, and HEAVY lifting of thoseawful, polluting, plastic jugs. After using the sheets for the laundry and dryer, we found they make great, anti-static dusting cloths; this is just an extra plus for us! Some people have given reviews about having to add extra liquid detergent to get clothes clean. Purex says right on the box that if you have extra soiled clothes, just add another sheet. We always have great results with just one laundry sheet, and the clothes have no static and feel great after using the laundry sheet in the dryer. Never anyspots on our laundry, always good results, no complaints. Thinking back to my dorm days in college, or the times where we had to go to laundromats, what I would've given for a lightweight laundry sheet instead of messy powders and liquids. An extra bonus; more space on our laundry room shelves! Glad we gave this product a try!
One of the previous reviews I felt was totally uncalled for since it appears that the person making the comment has never used this product.I am a consumer and recently heard about these soap nuts.I became very curious and found this sample pack.I received this promptly after ordering and immediatley started using them.I am so impressed!I am very much considering switching to these.From all the research I've done, I feel that I will save quite a bit of money. The product worked very well, left my clothes clean and scent free, and I didn't have to use a fabric softner.I encourage anyone to try these.Yes, there may be other companies out there selling soap nuts, but this happens to be the one I chose and the company sells a high quality product that works!
I have been using BabyGanics detergent for over a year now.it's the first time i tried one that's not unscented.Well, i do not like the smell.it doesn't smell lavender, it smells that the soap wasn't washed clean.too bad that i bought the bigger bottle.now i can't wait to go back to unscented version.
I am a laundry freak! I love to wash clothes and am always looking for a clean, fresh smell. I was using Gain but have recently switched back to tide because of the crazy clean it does I have two daughters 1 and 5 and they get all kids of stains, with TIDE I don't have to pre treat anything, just throw it in the washer and a capful of good ole originial Tide and WALA no more stains and it leaves the freshest smell!!
I've been using this for a few months now, and I love it.Clean, no residue, and no fragrances/dyes/etc to irritate my skin or baby's skin.I have no idea what another reviewer was talking about with their darks coming out bleached-- I've washed everything with no issues, and I own a LOT of black and navy clothes.
I have been using Woolite for years to care for fine clothing.
I really love the Dropps detergent for it's simplicity of use - just toss the packet in the washing machine and off you go. No measuring liquid or powder soap, no sticky mess on your hands or the machine at all EVER, no spills EVER, and they are perfect for the front load high effeciency washing machines. However, my real issue with all laundry detergent is the added perfumes and dyes that irritate my sensitive skin - redness, itchiness, pain and hives in some cases with the big name brands in the grocery stores which means re-washing ALL the clothes and bedding and towels and suffering while that project eats up an entire day. With the Dropps Scent, Dye & Enzyme Free detergent I have no problems at all!! It's been wonderful - I've been able to wash everything in it and not one negative reaction of any sort. Plus all our clothes are perfectly clean - even the items worn out to the barn working with the horses.
I LOVE this laundry detergent!I have been on a quest to switch to natural laundry detergent, with complaints from my husband along the way about the fact that the clothes are not getting as clean as they normally did with our Tide with Bleach.But with this detergent I hit the motherload..it gets my clothes beautifully clean, and it smells AMAZING!I am sold on the whole brand--I have bought the fabric softener, and some hand soap-I will continue to try their products as my household needs arise.
Soap Nuts have become a necessity in my household. Due to severe reactions to man-made products of all ilk, I found Soap Nuts to be the perfect replacement. I have stained my clothes with beet juice, carrots, grass stains, and even soot and it gets rid of it all on it's own! The smell of the clothes afterwards is fresh and pleasant, like they have been sundried. The organic lavender scented is great too. Plus, while the package says to use an ounce per load, I have found that using a mere capful from this small bottle works just fine. It lasts for several months, unlike the petrochemical kirkland signature stuff that comes in a huge tub but lasts 1 month....
My husband has sensitive skin.We've tried many detergents and the only ones that work without issue are Whisk and Era. And we prefer Era.Unfortunately, Era has become hard to find in regular grocery stores near me, so I started buying it at Sam's Club.Only, that became a hassle.You have to drive to the store, wait in long lines, buy in bulk, and lug it home.And pay an annual fee for the privilege. This in addition to regular grocery shopping because Sam's isn't practical for small, perishable items.No more!Amazon's subscription service isn't perfect yet, but this is one product where the program shines.Two big jugs, delivered to my front door, as often as I need them.Amazon has won me over...and I am looking at other products I buy in bulk to see if they are worth subscribing to and dropping Sam's.Highly recommended - especially if you are part of the Prime program too!
I used dreft for my daughter 5 yrs ago, and it would take out every stain, and it is not harsh on her skin. What I loved the most is a little goes a long way. I had received 3 boxes, and literally unitl this day I still have 1 1/2 boxes left.
I am not a fanatical "green guy", but I believe in doing what you can reasonably do to protect the planet, so I thought I'd give Vaska a try, but wasn't ready to give up on having clean clothes. Happily, and suprisingly, I found that not only does Vaska do as good of a job as what we usually use, but my clothes actually seem brighter than normal. Now that's a green product to believe in!
A real gentle and fragrance-free detergent that washes cloth very well. It also removes most stains if you soak the cloth before washing.
I will be erecting a shrine in my laundry room to Prowash. It is a detergent washing Jebus! If Oprah was a detergent and came in plastic and was small and kinda colorful, she would be Prowash and her Favorite Things' list would just consist of her!
We all love this detergent and love All PERSIL products.Yes, they are expensive but you don't need much of it to do it's job.The clothes smell so fresh and so does the laundry room.The clothes come out super clean.
I have tried different "sports soaps" and keep coming back to this one.I'm not going to try any others.I use this soap for all of my running gear, my husband's and kid's swimming gear and even my nice, washable work clothes.It removes the odors (sweat, chlorine, and school related) on everything without damaging, fading, or affecting any of our clothes.I do not use fabric softener and hang dry everything except in the rainy months when I use the air only setting on my dryer.
I like the scent; it's almost masculine.It does an OK job on clothes.Stuff doesn't come out super white unless it goes in that way.You have a chance at getting a stain out if you use a squirt to pretreat and rub in.I'm going to continue to use it because it's "green".
I have been using this product for about a month now and I am very satisfied. We live in a very humid climate so musty/moldy smelling clothing is a problem. We were using the Ecos brand detergent prior to this one and the clothing would be clean, but if it sat in the washer for a couple hours after the wash cycle, the musty smell would be very strong. Not so with this biokleen product. Even if the laundry sits in the washer after the cycle, it comes out with no scent. Kudos to biokleen for creating this fabulous product!
I love this product because it allows me to save money and avoid global warming by washing my bedding on cold while killing the dust mites that make my nose stuff up at night.
I have been on the lookout for a powdered HE laundry detergent that is safe for my septic system and works with my front loader.This product seems to fit the bill.It has no noticeable smell on my clothes which is what I prefer since I have sensitivities to fragrances.It has a slight borax smell (which would be due to that included ingredient) but is not overly strong. I had a problem with liquid detergents turning my whites blue (I haven't figured that one out yet) and this product doesn't do that.All in all, a great product and one that I will purchase again.Hopefully, next time, I won't have to purchase the detergent in tiny little bags although I get about 2 1/2 loads out of each bag.
Biokleen liquid detergent is a wonderful product. My family has used it for the last 4 years. We switched to it from Tide because our skin was irritated and itchy from perfume in the detergent. I had tried other "Free and Clear" detergents, but they weren't very good, and I ran out of them quickly. Biokleen liquid is very concentrated, so a bottle lasts longer. Sometimes with "green" detergents, you sacrifice cleaning power, but Biokleen liquid cleans and brightens clothing just beautifully. I pair it with the Biokleen oxygen bleach powder, and I have been very, very satisfied.[...]
I thought anyone would have been crazy to spend almost $50 for one container of laundry detergent...and then I got my Miele washing machine (front-loading, super-efficient, great German engineering, super-high quality washer).Miele recommends Persil laundry detergents since they follow the European way of doing laundry--smaller loads using less water and less detergent and no added fabric softeners (or a speck of their approved brands).I got over the sticker shock and ordered the Megaperls Color.That one box lasted 14 months since you only use 1-2 tablespoons per load, depending onwhat you wash.I do 5-9 loads of laundry per week of jeans, khakis, polo shirts, sweaters, blouses, socks and underwear, and towels.Everything comes out clean and fresh WITHOUT the detergent smell overpowering everything.If I have a stubborn stain like spaghetti sauce or motor oil, I still pretreat with a dab of Era though, toss in wash and it always comes out clean.I was initally concerned that the powder would clump in a cold wash, but it has never clumped and always washed out thoroughly, not to mention never leaving that gummy-feeling on clothes that some liquid detergents do.
I'm one of those men, that after a long day at work (CNA at a local city hospital), my uniform looks like it was run over by a truck. Food Stains , and the odor that only Tide 2x Ultra Tide Pure Essentials with Baking Soda Liquid White Lilac Scent can get rid of.

I have been through many detergents in the search for one that is truly safe: without toxins (such as MEA, DEA, phthalates and parabens), petrochemicals, bleach, ammonia, phosphates or other harmful ingredients.So far, this is the best one I have found at the best price.We use this not just for baby, but for the whole family, sheets, bedding and even washing lawn furniture (as it is safe for the environment as well).We also use their dishwashing liquid.
We had a small mishap at our first hotel stop and had to wash everything we'd brought because of the smoke smell.My silks and other hand-washables were washed with two sheets of this soap per one or two items (one pair of pants, two tank tops, couple of pairs of socks, etc.) and I felt that they were properly cleaned.There's basically no suds (perhaps if you used more sheets) and I found that they had to be manually dissolved by rubbing your fingers around the sheets once in the water, but they really seemed to do the job.Don't try to pull sheets out with damp hands!
Description says 2/carton with shipping weight of 37 pounds. You would think that means you are getting 2 boxes of detergent. NOT! Only sent 1 box!
I ride 15 miles really hard into work, and the gear from my morning commute ends up sealed up in a bag all day because I have nowhere to air it out and don't want it stinking up my office. You can imagine the result. My bike gear smells foul, and even a good dose of regular detergent doesn't get rid of the residual stink.
We have a GE High Efficiency washer with a feature called "Smart Dispense" and this is the detergent we use. The Tide is automatically dispensed into the wash load by the machine -- no measuring, you just set the specifications ahead of time and the machine injects the same amount of detergent every time you wash a load. That said, everything comes out smelling great and is totally clean. What more do you want? Predictable detergent is a good thing, right?
